In Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah declares: "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and song; he also is become my salvation." The way Isaiah used Behold is very powerful! In the Hebrew Behold(2009) Hinneh) means 'Behold, look, now, if'. It is used often and expresses strong feelings, surprise, hope, expectation, certainty, thus giving vividness depending on its surrounding context. The word Behold is God's response. Isaiah 52:6; "Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I." Isaiah declares, "Behold", that tell us to get ready for something, expect something, hope for something, surprise, the surprise is, the expectation that God's is saying IT IS I. When Behold is used, it is telling us to get ready for something special. It also draws attention to the face that something is about to happen, a future reference. Isaiah 7:14; "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign, Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call his name Immanuel." Which means God with us or with us is God. This prophecy is about Christ, the messiah which was to come and is declared in Matthew 1:23; "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel," which being interpreted is, God with us. Christ our messiah is truly our expectation, our blessed hope, our expectation! Can you see the power of the word Behold? When Behold is used He is making a powerful statement that we need to hear! Jesus is here to deliver us, save us from our transgressions, heal us from our inner hurts, and emotions, and heal our physical bodies. In Isaiah 12:2; "Behold, God, is our salvation." The word God is "El, meaning, mighty one, hero, and champion". Isaiah shouts, "behold God, don't look to anyone else, andlet’s bring God back as our hero, our champion." This word is used in Isaiah 9:6; His name shall be called mighty God, same word of Isaiah 12:2. This El is found in Isaiah 7:14 in his name called Immanuel. Is Christ really your champion, your hero, your mighty one? Behold, God is our salvation. 3444) Yeshuw'ah) means: deliverance, hence, aid, victory, prosperity. We know that Jesus is our yeshuwah, our savior, deliver, our mighty God, our hero, our victory, our prosperity. Praise the Lord for Behold. Let's bring Him back to the church, and to the world. Behold, God! God is your Messiah, He and only He will deliver, bless, and increase you. He will make you what you ought to be.
